Today in irrigation class, we had various sprinklers that we needed to diagnose the problems to. They would either be stuck on or off and it was our job to determine the reasons why. It was as simple as the sprinkler was in the "off" position, and as difficult as a minuscule hole in the upper chamber of the valve. We used both Toro and Rain Bird sprinklers.
