Welcome to My Blog!

I have always been interested in the sport of golf, but I have been even more interested in how golf courses are maintained. My passion started as a little kid, but then grew more and more as I grew older. In the summer before grade 12, I started working at Aberdeen Glen Golf Course, in Prince George, BC, to see if I would like the career that I was thinking of choosing, and it turned out to be what I liked.

I decided to take my golf course management degree from Olds College. During the first school year, I was a member of the Olds College Turf Club, and took on the role of Turf Club President in the spring of 2014, where I sat as the President for the 2014-2015 school year. Being the President taught me invaluable communication, organizational, and writing skills. Advancing those skills has helped me in all aspects of the golf course industry.

I moved to Cranbrook in the summer of 2015 and became a Student Intern at Shadow Mountain Golf Course, under the Superintendent, Brad Pasula.

In January of 2016 at the age of 21, I took over the Superintendent position at The Nursery Golf and Country Club, in Lacombe, Alberta. In June of 2017 I graduated with my Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Golf Course Management.

Enjoy!
